A Love Without Gates: Poetry by Hannah Treasure

“apology brew”

when was the last time you saw sun.

not through a milky sky,

not in a steam bath of clouds.

remember how you let it kiss

the freckles from slumber,

how softly it ate your skin.

made you think every red is good.

you want to keep him

this pure; grinning unbridled,

swaddled in linen. you swallow

anyone whole these days.

do you know a love without gates?
