In this weeks selection of Foto Friday we explore the nature of secrecy, detachment, and isolation. As children we liked playing with friends, but there lived another world. A recondite place in ourselves where we ruled over wilted teddy bears, lego kingdoms, and barbie dolls with really bad hair cuts. Growing up, not much changes; teddy bears are replaced by cars, lego kingdoms blossom into apartments, and barbie dolls stretch into real life people. But when we are alone, without someone to worry or watch, we find ourselves receding back into that world where we lived once as kings and queens.
