Time to add another toy to my collection! Renowned artist Coop unveiled his first vinyl toy, Lil’ Mort, at one of my favorite spots Munky King on Melrose!

Based on the original painting shown recently at his solo at the Corey Helford Gallery, Lil’ Mort comes with a removable scythe and plenty of lowbrow attitude. The piece takes its name from the French phrase, “Le Petit Mort,” a metaphor for the spiritual release one experiences from orgasm. COOP is considered one of the pioneers of the Pop Surrealist movement. Produced by Munky King, this unique reaper stands 7 inches tall, includes a removable scythe, and comes packaged in a window box decorated by the original artwork that inspired the toy.
