I have interest in producing work that is connected to human experience. Making art is a decoding of my life. It is also a practice of disclosure.

Suzanne’s past training includes a professional theatrical background with a concentration in acting. She uses theatricality to explore things that people find difficult to talk about. Acting out, performance, display and spectacle have always been of great interest and intrigue in Suzanne’s work. Performing, showing who we are, how we see ourselves or describing gender is a reoccurring theme.

I never know what to think about mixed media. It’s always sort of a hit or miss with me…probably because there’s still a lot about mixed media that I don’t understand.

Still, the last piece “Fuck the Flock” really reminds me of the the famous (or infamous?) Bodies exhibit….http://www.bodiestheexhibition.com/

…and thought it really captured some of the same experiences and feelings (without using a real human body!).
